The Chinese state-run newspaper ‘People’s Daily’ in its commentary on Monday accused the Philippines of repeatedly encroaching on China’s territory in the South China Sea. The country is also said to spread false information and conspire with foreign actors to cause problems. The People’s Daily is considered a mouthpiece for the Chinese government.
