An important water pipe burst in the vicinity of De Dam in Blaricum this afternoon. As a result, the street is full of water. At least one car has sunk in the mud.
The fire brigade speaks of ‘considerable nuisance to the environment’. Parts of the surrounding residential area are without drinking water. It is not yet clear how long that will take.
The water has entered at least three homes. According to a spokesperson for the fire service, there is water in the crawl spaces. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.
