It’s the giant against little thumbs, but that doesn’t bother Telstar. The number thirteen of the first division will play against the leader of the Eredivisie, PSV, tonight. NH Sport will broadcast this match in the eighth final of the KNVB Cup live on NH Radio from 6.30 pm.
According to trainer Andries Jonker, the match in Eindhoven will be an experience that his players should enjoy anyway. A victory for his team is not obvious, but the Amsterdammer is going for it. “There are only a few moments that you can make history unless you work at the very top. This is such a unique opportunity, you have to go for it.”
In the previous cup round, PSV settled with Fortuna Sittard 2-0. Telstar went twice with the heels over the ditch. Both against the amateurs of Cossack Boys (1-2) as against Spakenburg (5-3) the Velsenaren needed an extension to convert further.
