Extension failed with Paulo Dbala

Attacking player Paulo Dybala will leave record-breaking Italian champions Juventus in the summer on a free transfer. As managing director Maurizio Arrivabene told several Italian media on Monday, the club will not offer a new contract to the Argentine, whose working paper expires in June.

“With the signing of Vlahovic, his position was no longer so crucial. That’s why we decided not to extend the contract,” Arrivabene was quoted as saying. Dybala, 28, has been at Juve since 2015 and was appointed vice-captain earlier this season.

Dybala has scored 13 goals in 29 games this season in all competitions, but has also missed many games due to various muscle injuries. In January, the old lady sold Dusan Vlahovic from AC Fiorentina for 70 million euros, the Serb is currently the top scorer in Serie A with 21 goals.

As reported by the Gazetta dello Sport, several clubs have already expressed their interest in Dybala, including Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.
