After an exciting final against FC Barcelona, SC Magdeburg is the old and new club world champion.
The SC Magdeburg handball players are club world champions again. The German champions beat FC Barcelona 41:39 after extra time in a high-class final. Keeper Nikola Portner became the hero of the evening, parrying a very important seven-meter shot shortly before the end. Omar Ingi Magnusson was the top scorer with twelve goals.
Portner strong as a bear – SCM highly concentrated
Unfortunately, the hall in the Saudi Arabian Dammam was not worthy of such a final, many seats remained free. But in the end it was just over 3,000.
