Explosive start in the stadium derby

The league match between HJK and HIFK was interrupted after the crowd rushed onto the field.

The authorities’ warnings and prohibitions fell on deaf ears in the last Stad derby of the Veikkausliiga season.

Although just a few minutes before the match, it was announced that flares and fireworks were strictly prohibited at the Tölölä Stadium, HIFK’s end was colored red by a flare smuggled in by a spectator right after Clay Tähtirinna was still in the lead.
