A suspicious package was found this afternoon in a building on Nijverheidsweg in Huizen. The police have cordoned off the street and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service is investigating the package.

A police spokesperson said there was no one in the building. “Right now it’s dark in the building,” she said. “Because it is January 1, there are no people at work.”
It is not yet clear what is in the package.
