There was an explosion in front of the Supperclub on the Singel in Amsterdam at the beginning of the afternoon. The police have cordoned off the canal and the Explosives Reconnaissance Team (TEV) is investigating the incident.
It is not yet clear what exactly happened in front of the event location. The spokesperson for the police cannot yet comment on what exactly happened. In any case, it was a ‘big bang’. A window was broken in the explosion, but no one was injured.
Witnesses testify AT5 know that a man would have put something in front of the door and then something exploded. The man then fled. The police cannot yet confirm that story and are awaiting the investigation first.
The Supperclub could not be reached for comment. It is not yet known whether the explosion has anything to do with the event location.
