A 21-year-old man from Eindhoven was seriously injured in an explosion in a drug lab in Friesland. Someone was also killed, the identity of this victim is not yet known. The police investigation is still ongoing.
Emergency services received a report on Tuesday evening that there was a fire on the Polderweg near the Frisian village of Haule. Once there, it soon became apparent that there was no fire. There was a heavy smoke development after an explosion in the drug lab. As a result of the explosion, someone was killed and the Eindhoven resident was seriously injured.
The building contained several boilers that were used for the production of synthetic drugs. When the emergency services saw that it was a drug lab on arrival, the location immediately became a crime scene.
The drug lab was located in a building behind a house on the Polderweg. “The residents have been housed in a different place,” the police said. According to Broadcasting Friesland It is not yet clear what their relationship was with the victims.
