An explosion occurred at a house on Tefelenstraat in Amsterdam-Zuidoost this evening around 7.20 pm. After the explosion, a fire raged. “There were no injuries and we are investigating the circumstances on site,” a police spokesperson told AT5.
Several police cars arrived on the scene. The fire caused by the explosion was extinguished by the fire brigade. The street is partly cordoned off with tape and forensics is investigating.
Photos show that there is considerable damage to the front door. This means that part of the glass and frame of the door is out.
“We ask people who have heard or seen something to contact the police. If people have camera images, we would also like to hear from them,” said the spokesperson.
