“Rabota.ru”: most often, stress at work occurs due to accumulated fatigue
The accumulated fatigue among Russians is the main reason for the stress that work causes. Only 6% are stressed because of unattainable job evaluation indicators
The most common cause of stress at work is accumulated fatigue, which affects almost half of Russians, followed by excessive multitasking. This was shown by a study conducted by the Rabota.ru service.
The study involved more than 7,000 service users from all regions of Russia, economically active people over 18 years old. The survey was conducted in February 2022.
47% said that they most often experience stress due to accumulated fatigue. A third of respondents (33%) said that they have a large number of tasks at work. Another 23% of study participants are stressed because of their health, and 22% each noted a toxic atmosphere in the team or pressure from superiors.
19% each cited problems in their personal or family life, or a lack of resources at work as the cause of stress. 11% complain about irresponsible subordinates, 9% about the lack of budget for projects, and 6% each about poor relationships with colleagues and impossible KPIs.
On average, respondents in Russia rated their own stress at 6 points out of 10, where where 1 – stress is not felt at all, and 10 – the level of stress is on the verge of burnout. At the same time, men rate the level of stress at 5 points, women – at 6.
