Experts are looking at green hydrogen: the fuel of tomorrow

Tomorrow’s fuel, it sounds. But where do we get green hydrogen, and how can we store and distribute it. These are just a few questions that arise.

Green or clean hydrogen is still expensive and rare for us. You only win after a chemical process that requires an enormous amount of green energy from wind turbines or solar panels. Green hydrogen can only be obtained from renewable energy. Only then do you have an alternative to fossil fuel.

Preparing the ports for green hydrogen is therefore imperative in Zeebrugge. The federal government also wants to invest in a green hydrogen knowledge center, but it is not yet clear where that will come from. Ostend is in any case a candidate.
