Analyst firm Sensor Tower reported that 6,982 iPhone and iPad apps and games were removed from Apple’s Russian App Store between February 24 and March 14.
TechCrunch, which owns the Sensor Tower report, notesthat apps removed from the store in Russia were downloaded more than 218 million times, which is 3.3% of the total number of downloads worldwide (6.6 billion).

While Apple is constantly removing obsolete or unused apps from the App Store, the volume of deletions in the Russian part of the store since the start of the special operation in Ukraine – from February 24 to March 14 – increased by 105% compared to the first two weeks of February 2022. notes the publication.
Sensor Tower experts provide comparative data, according to which 3,404 applications were removed from the Russian App Store over an earlier period. These figures are comparable to what is happening in the US segment of the store – 3,422 programs were removed there over the same period.
