“I saw beer tents and spectators with pints in hand… You can’t do that on a rally track.” That is what Thierry Dekoninck says about the rally of Condroz, where a fatal accident took place last weekend. Thierry has been a rally driver at heart for 35 years and he too saw such a drama up close. 20 years ago his car started spinning, he ended up in the front yard of a house. There were two deaths. “I still struggle with it every day.”
