The artists impressively prove that world music does not have to be pathetic and cerebral, as some clichés claim about global music and culture mixes. They already showed what they’re made of at the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Coachella Festival – and now Berlin can also show itself at the Pure&Crafted 2022 get caught up in the fusion of Turkish folklore and psychedelic rock.

The collective of Dutch and Turkish musicians has now released four albums. In 2019, Altın Gün were even nominated for a Grammy in the category “Best World Music Album” – an enormous push that brought the act many new fans on its tour through the States.
