The growth of this international firm was based on the adaptation of services to business opportunities and the needs to develop client projects, but what was Expansión’s path to becoming one of the most important holding companies in the world like? country?
A little history
Expansion was born as a derivation of the Sasovsky & Asociados studio, founded in 2012 by Iván Sasovsky, whose first office was located in the Renault Museum (Av. Figueroa Alcorta 3551).
For the year 2013, the consultancy grows and more space is needed. This forced a transfer of the office to Av. de Mayo 676. That year talks were also given in the interior of the country and the first trip abroad was made, more specifically to Mexico. Iván Sasovsky is received by the Prince of Spain and current King of Spain and is visited by the Spanish Royal Family in Buenos Aires.
So it was that the consulting firm continued its growth and the following year it expanded its client portfolio to the interior of the country. Members of Sasovsky & Asociados participate in academic events in Bolivia and Spain. That year, it was consolidated in the media as a national benchmark for taxation.
In the following years, Expansión began to participate massively in the media until 2016, the year in which the consultancy took a greater boost from the collaboration in the drafting of the Fiscal Honesty Law. It is also consolidated with a wide portfolio of clients that continued with an increase in collaborators in the work team. Participations are made in academic events in Peru, Spain, Uruguay and the United States. In addition, it signs a contract with its first foreign clients.
In 2017 the holding company seeks more physical space, the office moves to Puerto Madero. Members of the consultancy participate in events in Ireland, Holland, Brazil, Colombia and the United States. The independent areas of Audit and International Operations are created,
increasing the size of the work team. Training courses are given in the interior of the country. In addition, Sasovsky & Asociados holds the first international work day with participants from Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, the United States and Panama.
2018 was key, since Sasovsky & Asociados celebrates an international alliance with Vistra, one of the four best providers of corporate services in the world, which opens the definitive door to the international market.
For the year 2019, the consultant creates the Legal area and begins to project its Finance area.
All teams grow in number and the client portfolio continues to expand. At the end of 2020, the Communication and Marketing area was born. In 2021, Sasovsky & Asociados takes a definitive step towards internationalization and the multiplication of services by opening the first Expansion headquarters in Montevideo and announcing the launch of the Madrid offices.
Also in 2021, Expansión became a holding company with a presence in different countries. Sasovsky & Asociados was renamed Expansion Argentina and became part of the group of companies. Three new business units appear there, which complement and diversify the existing services: Expansion Business (legal), Expansion Capital (financial) and Expansion Future (technological).
On December 16, 2021, the international launch took place with a Gala held at the Golden Center (Costanera Norte) in which absolutely nothing was missing: show, music, dance and the presentation of the holding company in the hands of its partners.
And finally we come to the current year, 2022. In this year the Madrid offices were inaugurated. New offices were also opened in the City of Buenos Aires, in the Palermo neighborhood, where the entire Expansion Capital team was installed. A new partner joined Expansion Future and the business unit amplifies its services, providing not only technological support, but also strategic consulting and 360 communication. Expansion Valores (which is part of Expansion Capital) was created and official authorization was obtained in September necessary to function as a stock company.
