FC Volendam presented two new faces within the club today. Eddy Bank and Jip Bartels will join the leader in the first division.
Bank, also trainer of various tennis talents, has been appointed to improve the top sports culture at the FC. The 29-year-old Bartels will become assistant to trainer Kiki Musampa at Jong FC Volendam. Bartels himself played football at FC Utrecht and Ajax and, after persistent injuries, focused on his social career. He remains associated with the RKAV Volendam where he works with the youngest youth.
Top sports culture
Ruben Jongkind, director of training and collaborations, sees Bartels’ presence as an important added value in the development of the talents at Jong FC Volendam. Jongkind says on Bank’s own club site: “Eddy’s arrival strengthens the process of change to a top sports culture. This is urgently needed to make FC Volendam a sustainable premier divisionist on the one hand and to help our youth even better to develop themselves as people on the other. and footballer.”
