According to the exit poll, the BBB is by far the largest party in the Provincial Council in North Holland with nine seats. Almost all incumbent parties surrender seats.
The biggest loser is, as expected, Forum for Democracy. They lose eight seats, and drop from nine to one seat in the Provincial Council. The VVD came out as the largest in North Holland in previous polls, but in this exit poll they lose a seat and go from nine to eight.
According to this exit poll, the two parties that will gain seats in North Holland are the PvdA (from six to seven seats), and the Party for the Animals, which is growing from three to five seats.
Turnout is expected to be slightly higher than previous elections at 58.2 percent.
These figures come from the exit poll that Ipsos conducts on behalf of the NOS. There is a margin of error for a seat, which means that the results can still change slightly. Nevertheless, it is clear that the BBB is also storming into the Provincial Council as the big winner in North Holland.
New parties
In addition to the BBB, the new parties Volt and JA21 are also doing good business. According to the exit poll of Ipsos, they both end up with three seats in the Provincial Council.
