This year, Claudia and Johan van Unen are opening their farm garden for the third year. On 30 and 31 July and 13 and 14 August, an exhibition with images from Zimbabwe was set up in the large garden at Lheebroek 17a.
“We have a different collection this year than the years before,” says Claudia. Various types of statues made of stone, such as spring-stone, serpentine, cobalt and opal, are on display and for sale. All statues in the garden are unique and made by hand. Furthermore, the garden has undergone a small metamorphosis and is rich in flowers and plants.
In addition to sculptures, glassware was also exhibited this year, which was made by the now deceased artist Cees van Olst, who started a glassworks in Diever in 1979. Later he opened the museum for glass and glass technology in Hoogeveen. In recent years he was manager of the Glass Museum in Veenhuizen.
While enjoying a cup of coffee or tea, there is a lot to see for free in the garden at Lheebroek 17a in Dwingeloo.
