‘Exchange for Marcel & Gijs?’

A downer: Nadia Moussaid closes the first season of her talk show with the worst-watched week. What should NPO 1 do with the seven o’clock slot? Marcel & Gijs maybe?

Nadia Moussaid’s talk show ends as a ratings disaster. The conclusion of the first season managed to captivate only 248 thousand viewers (11 percent market share) yesterday at seven o’clock in the evening on NPO 1, a severely disappointing score. With 268 thousand viewers, she also records the lowest weekly average since the start, reports Look at ratings.

Back on the tube?

RTL Boulevard viewer Joost Maiburg thinks that Nadia will not return, but colleague Tina Nijkamp is not sure. She thinks that the NPO will give it another season: “Rumors even say that two seasons have been ordered immediately, but maybe that is total nonsense.”

According to her, a return at 7 p.m. will no longer be possible, so the NPO would then have to look for a new title to alternate with Khalid & Sophie. The dream catch would be Eva Jinek, but apart from some speculation that doesn’t seem to happen.

Marcel & Gijs?

Victor Vlam does not exclude that Marcel & Gijs, now to be seen on SBS 6, will eventually end up on the famous DWDD slot. “I also find it interesting. If Eva Jinek doesn’t do it, you always have Marcel and Gijs. If you look at this, these figures that they are now achieving at SBS 6, yes… There is quite a good argument to bring them to seven hours.”

He continues in The Communicados: “Because at SBS, which may not be entirely their home audience, they get 400,000 viewers. Well, maybe another 400 thousand would be added if they are on NPO 1 at BNNVARA, for example, and make a daily talk show there. So that might be another option for the NPO.”

Or to SBS?

Tina writes on her analysis channel that it is also not inconceivable that Marcel & Gijs will move permanently to SBS. “And start making a kind of Media Inside there every week and replace VI when necessary: summer and Christmas. I just see that happening.”

What is the advantage for Marcel & Gijs? “In terms of salary, Marcel and Gijs can then earn much more, far above the standard bar (223 thousand euros). Johan Derksen was right. These men appear to be able to score quite well on SBS 6. The program certainly scores well in terms of viewing figures.”

Yesterday, 360 thousand people watched (12 percent).
