Exceptional heat in Spain. And it’s coming our way

At the moment, the exceptionally warm temperatures are mainly felt in the southwest of the country. For example, it became 43 degrees in Seville on Sunday and 42 degrees in Vegas Del Guadiana on the Portuguese border. In the coming days, the heat will spread further towards the northeast, so that temperatures around 40 degrees are also expected in the center of the country from today. “That intense heat is because there is an uplift of tropical air from the north of Africa,” says Nicolas Roose of NoodweerBenelux. “Spain is always in the front row to get the first impulses from Africa in the spring – and especially towards the summer.”
