Besuijen made eighteen appearances in the Scottish league in his debut season with Aberdeen, in which he scored two goals and three assists. Besuijen is in his second season with Aberdeen. In 2021, the 21-year-old winger was taken over from ADO Den Haag. The former youth international of Orange played in the training of FC Volendam and AS Roma.
Earlier this month, Excelsior brought defender Kik Pierie (Ajax) and midfielder Peer Koopmeiners (AZ) to Rotterdam on a rental basis. Noah Naujoks (20) was taken over from Feyenoord and signed a contract until 2025 with the club from Rotterdam-Kralingen.
