Ex-VfB talent
Midfielder Nick Bätzner will stay with KV Oostende longer. The contract of the 22-year-old from Ludwigsburg was automatically extended by one season until 2024. The Belgian first division club officially announced this on Monday. Bätzner left his youth club VfB Stuttgart in 2020 to venture into professional business at Oostende – with success.
“It was a big step for me. Another language is spoken in Belgium, and I lived alone for the first time. All of this has allowed me to mature personally, so I definitely don’t regret it. I’m happy here,” said the youth international in an interview with Transfermarkt last December. So far this season, the right-footer has scored two goals and five assists in 32 games across all competitions.
Also the option in the contract of Nick Bätzner is cleared. This is known as the contract now automatically with én seizoen will be extended t/m 2024. Professional Nick! pic.twitter.com/6846hS4ARQ
