The victim suffered several fatal stab wounds during the night from Saturday to Sunday. According to Belga, the Bergen public prosecutor’s office already confirmed the murder trail on Sunday evening. The suspected perpetrator had already been arrested and was heard by the investigating judge on Monday afternoon, according to the Public Prosecution Service.
According to Walloon media, the victim is a 44-year-old teacher of English and Dutch from the Sint-Stanislascollege in Mons.
‘Sudinfo’ writes that he was friends with a 19-year-old ex-student. The two were at a party together on Saturday before going to the teacher’s house. After the stabbing, the 19-year-old reportedly called a friend in a panic. He said the teacher had tried to sexually assault him. Annoyed and after a drunken evening, the young man allegedly took a knife to defend himself.
The police are still investigating the exact course of the evening.
