Last year Garbiñe Muguruza finished her sporting career. Now she has announced private news: she expects her first child.
The former Spanish tennis player Garbiñe Muguruza met her husband four years ago on a walk through Central Park in New York. Arthur Borges was a fan and wanted a selfie, shortly afterwards the couple dated, last year the two married – and now the next adventure is coming up.
As the former world ranking list on Instagram announced with a polaroid photo, she becomes a mother. The 31-year-old wrote about two pictures and one with her husband: “Family.” She posted two pink hearts.
On the first snapshot you can see how the former profit player with a clearly visible baby bump poses in a black swimsuit in front of palm trees. The picture is a polaroid that is held into the camera by a hand in front of a tropical backdrop. Muguruza wears sunglasses and smiles relaxed in the camera.
Numerous tennis sizes congratulated under the post. The four-time Grand Slam winner Aryna Sabalenka wrote: “So happy for both of you.” Caroline Wozniacki, who is now on the court again after a baby break, wrote: “I send you all the best for this new incredible chapter.” Angelique Kerber also wrote: “Congratulations.” She also posted a red heart.
