2. Farewell to SC Heerenveen
Henk Veerman is leaving SC Heerenveen for a second time and moving to FC Utrecht. The 30-year-old center forward signed a contract with the seventh place in the Eredivisie until 2024. The Dutchman first played for Heerenveen from 2015 to 2018 before leaving the club for FC St. Pauli. He returned in the summer of 2020. Both seasons combined, he has 43 goals and 17 assists in 165 games for the Frisians.
“Henk is a real centre-forward. He’s big, strong and exudes a goal threat. With him we are adding an additional weapon to our squad that can decide games. In addition, it’s also great that Henk has a great drive to play for our fans and the club. We’ve tried many times in the past to get Henk and we’ve succeeded now,” said technical director Jordy Zuidam about his new protégé, who was one of the ten most accurate Dutch attackers with a tally of twelve league goals in calendar year 2021 ( to overview).
