Ex-President Trump Calls Biden ‘Enemy of the State’ During First Performance After FBI Search Abroad

Former US President Donald Trump lashed out at current President Joe Biden on Saturday night. Trump described Biden as an “enemy of the state” at a campaign rally in the run-up to the Congressional midterm elections in November. The FBI raid on his Mar-a-Lago residence also suffered during Trump’s first public appearance since the search.

Biden called his predecessor Trump and his radical supporters “a threat to this country” in a TV speech a few days earlier. During that speech, which was broadcast by several American TV channels, Biden said that we “have reassured ourselves for a long time with the idea that American democracy is infallible”. “But that is not the case.”

“Biden’s speech was nothing but hatred and anger,” Trump said. He accused Biden of describing his supporters as “threats to democracy” and “enemies of the state.” “He himself is the enemy of the state, along with the group he controls,” Trump said.

With that, the ex-president counterattacked after Biden’s speech two days earlier. He then described Trump as the standard-bearer of “an extremism that threatens the foundations of our republic”.
Trump also reiterated the FBI raid that took documents from his Palm Beach residence.

The ex-president described the raid as “the most striking example of the real threats to American freedom” and “one of the most shocking examples of abuse of power in American history”. The FBI suspects Trump of taking classified documents home. In total, more than 11,000 government documents were seized during the raid.

“The danger to democracy does not come from the right, but from the radical left,” Trump told the cheering crowd.
