Tua Backman has found a new love by her side.

Tua has three teenagers, the 12-, 15- and 17-year-old children of the five-time Stanley Cup winner Esa Tikkanen with. The couple got married in 2004 and it ended in divorce in 2014.
Tua, who received a commercial education and previously worked in the hotel industry, has been running his Bretelle company since 1998, which designs accessories for consumers and companies.
The company won the 2020 Parliament design competition for ties and scarves.
Bretelle’s customers include Finnair and Ferrari. Tua’s company is located in Helsinki on Korkeavuorenkatu.

In addition to the engagement, the artistic businesswoman surprises in another way: she opens her debut art exhibition at Taidegalleria 4-6 on Uudenmaankatu. “Creativity is a way of life”
Tua’s family has artistic blood, his grandfather was a well-known painter. Tua has designed accessories and creativity has flourished in the products and collection of her own company, but she only started painting with acrylic colors in her home studio in 2015.
– I don’t watch TV, I paint when I want to relax. Art is a way of expressing emotions that draws viewers in with it. The final impression is created in the eyes of each viewer. Painting is born from feeling, painting makes a person whole and comforts. Creativity is a way of life, Tua says about his hobby, and does not promise anything certain about the future.
– I can now calmly acknowledge the kind of reception my art receives, says Tua, who gave himself the exhibition as a present for his fiftieth birthday.
