Sex, drugs & rock’n’roll – Axl Rose could also identify with that in the eighties and nineties. It is well known that he often tested boundaries and occasionally exceeded them, but now he is threatened with further legal consequences for his behavior at the time. Sheila Kennedy, who once modeled for “Penthouse,” has sued the singer. She accuses him of raping her during a party in a New York hotel room in 1989.
Axl Rose behaved “like a caveman”.
The statement of claim was published by US media on Wednesday (November 22). Both are said to have met in February 1989 at a disco in New York, and the party later continued in his hotel suite. There, Axl Rose offered all guests “cocaine, champagne and alcohol”. He then threw out most of the guests and had sex with another woman. He then became violent towards Kennedy and dragged her into the bedroom by her hair “like a caveman”. There the musician tied his acquaintance’s hands behind his back and had anal sex with her.
Sheila Kennedy emphasizes that this experience has had lifelong emotional, physical, psychological and financial consequences for her. With her civil lawsuit, she is now demanding compensation and damages in an undisclosed amount from Axl Rose. Axl Rose’s representatives have so far left a request from colleagues at the US “Rolling Stone” unanswered.
Axl Rose has previously been accused of alleged rape
Axl Rose was arrested for various crimes as a teenager. And the singer has also been accused of alleged rape before – at that time he had to defend himself against the accusation of having had sex with a 15-year-old. However, the proceedings were discontinued at the time due to a lack of evidence. The presumption of innocence also applies in the current case – it now needs to be clarified whether the case will go to trial and whether the allegations made by Sheila Kennedy can actually be proven.
