Change to the Finnish 1st league
Felix Ferahyan, who was born in Göppingen, has joined the Finnish first division club Helsinki IFK. The 23-year-old goalkeeper, who was under contract with the regional league club Kickers Offenbach from January 2020 until the summer of 2021, but remained unused, signed a contract with the capital city club until the end of the year.
“Felix did well in the test period and has a lot of potential for development,” said sporting director Mika Lonnstrom. The goalkeeper was already in a game between the posts in the Liiga Cup and didn’t concede a goal. “It feels good. It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m happy to accept the challenge,” said Ferahyan, who trained with Kaiserslautern and Eintracht Frankfurt, among others, and has already played for Kuopion Palloseura, FC Honka and Ekenäs IF in Finland.
