Former professional soccer player Timo Hildebrand doesn’t think much of convincing people to adopt a vegan diet.
“I want to inspire. It’s the wrong way to explain to people: You have to eat plant-based food now,” said the 44-year-old of the “Stuttgarter Zeitung” (Saturday).
The former goalkeeper of VfB Stuttgart rarely eats meat substitutes. “In my fridge, the focus is on vegetables,” he explained. “We need to be aware that eating meat once a week is enough.”
Hildebrand runs a vegan restaurant in Stuttgart.
