Also played for Eintracht Frankfurt
Former Frankfurt Lucas Piazon (28) has found a new club. The attacking player is leaving Portuguese club SC Braga for his native Brazil, where he will be loaned to Botafogo until the summer of 2023. The club announced.
The Brazilians are said to have a purchase option worth 1.8 million euros. Piazon is now the second most valuable player in the team with a market value of €3.5m. A move at this point was possible as the transfer window in Brazil is open until April 12 – the new season starts just before that.
The attacker moved to Braga on a free transfer last winter when he ended his odyssey on loan at Chelsea FC, which took him to Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2014/15 season. Piazon joined the Blues in January 2012 for €7.5m, who subsequently put him at seven different clubs over a nine-year period.
At SC Braga, Piazon made 42 appearances (six goals/five assists) before not being called up for the squad since late December. His contract in Portugal runs until 2025.
