Former F1 team manager Joan Villadelprat criticized Lewis Hamilton in harsh words.
Villadelprat spoke NOT Confidential in the interview.
– Hamilton is fed up and if he doesn’t win, he’s like a spoiled little boy.
– He is a complainer. The tires, the strategy, he’s questioning everything and he’s messed up. When a teammate is faster, it’s normally quiet.
Mercedes has not been able to offer Hamilton the car required for the championship. Hamilton has publicly said earlier this season that the team did not listen to his advice regarding the concept of the car.
British team mate George Russell was ahead of Hamilton at the end of last season in the World Championship points situation.
Russell also brought Mercedes a win during the season. Hamilton’s previous victory is from the 2021 season.
– I don’t think he has lost (his grip), but after seven titles… What motivates? Winning the next and then you don’t risk properly if the car isn’t up to it.
However, Hamilton is currently fourth in the World Championship points standings after three races. He finished second in the previous competition in Australia.
