Ex-Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg not vaccinated against Corona

Nico Rosberg is not vaccinated against the corona virus. As a result, the ex-world champion can only do his job as a Formula 1 expert to a limited extent. Rosberg is also skeptical about vaccination.

Due to a lack of corona vaccination, former world champion Nico Rosberg is no longer allowed in the Formula 1 paddock. Therefore, the 36-year-old can only do his job as a TV expert away from the racetracks to a limited extent.

“I survived a corona disease well and therefore have monster antibodies in me. I also have my antibodies tested regularly,” Rosberg explained at Sport1 for not vaccinating against the corona virus. His doctor advised him “that vaccination would make absolutely no sense”.

Rosberg rejected at the paddock entrance in Monaco

Formula 1 has once again tightened the access rules for the paddock this season. While a negative PCR test was sufficient in the pre-season, full vaccination is now mandatory. Otherwise, those affected must present a medical exemption. Apparently, however, Rosberg cannot prove this.

When the former Mercedes driver last tried to enter the paddock in his adopted home of Monaco, he was rejected, according to Sport1. The British television broadcaster Sky Sports had to switch the 2016 world champion back to the TV broadcast from his apartment.
