Ex-FC Bayern: Franck Ribery stays with Salernitana – extended

I find it a bit strange to speak of a “historic” comeback in the article when Salernitana was almost permanently in a relegation zone within striking distance of the others. Didn’t follow it but randomly looked at the table after different match days and of course the results in one go. Salernitana is almost consistently more like 3-4 or even consistently just one point away from the saving bank. I think the longest streak was 2-3 wins in a row, then a few draws in a row, but never in such a way that you caught up, for example, by 8-10 points.

I only did that because there was no example for the “catch-up” in the article, so dear TM team….

It’s great for Ribéry, but I think he’s more of a mascot for a team that, like Boateng in Berlin, gives him a little boost that may also be responsible for the narrow relegation.
Otherwise he’s more likely to be on paid vacations by the sea, I have the feeling
