Frankfurt’s former coach Oliver Glasner does not assume that he will take over a club again in the near future and start preparing for the new season with it.
“I don’t think I’ll be sitting on a trainer’s bench again in July. I can well imagine sitting in on other sports as a trainer to broaden my horizons a bit,” said Glasner of “Bild”. . The 48-year-old Austrian had to leave Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season and will be replaced by Dino Toppmöller.
Golf and tennis instead of football
Glasner, who won the Europa League in Frankfurt and reached the cup final, is considering a creative break. “I’ve been in football since I was 18, now I really have time for my family and myself because I’m not constantly thinking about pre-season or the next friendly opponent,” said Glasner. He plays golf and tennis and spends time with his family. “It makes me very happy,” added the coach. Before joining Frankfurt, Glasner looked after Bundesliga rivals VfL Wolfsburg.
