Ex-BVB striker Erling Haaland leads Manchester City to work victory

Manchester City have been struggling for a narrow win in the Premier League before the next Champions League duel with RB Leipzig. Coach Pep Guardiola’s team won 1-0 (0-0) at Crystal Palace thanks to ex-BVB striker Erling Haaland.

The former Dortmunder scored in the 78th minute with a penalty kick for the defending champion after Ilkay Gündogan was fouled in the penalty area by Michael Olise. It was the striker’s 28th goal of the season in 26 Premier League games.

Until then, Man City had struggled at Selhurst Park. Although there was hardly any danger from Crystal Palace, the hosts kept the Cityzens’ offensive in check and only allowed a little.

In the final stages, the game was a little more open, but without a single direct shot on goal from Palace.

City are just two points behind Arsenal for now

The third league win in a row brought Man City up to two points behind leaders Arsenal in the Premier League table, who play at in-form London neighbors Fulham on Sunday.

On Wednesday, the Guardiola team will welcome Leipzig in the round of 16 second leg of the premier class. After the 1-1 in the first leg everything is still open in Manchester.
