Former Dortmund player Marc Bartra will again play for the Spanish first division football team Betis Sevilla. As the Andalusians announced, the 32-year-old defender will receive a contract until 2024.
Bartra, who comes from the FC Barcelona football school, had already played for Betis from 2018 to 2022. In the last round, the central defender made 40 competitive appearances for Turkish club Trabzonspor. The contract, which originally ran until 2025, was terminated earlier this month.
Bartra had defended for BVB between July 2016 and January 2018 and won the DFB Cup with the club in May 2017, having injured his right arm and hand in a bomb attack on the Dortmund team bus a month earlier.
