RB Leipzig is already in talks with coach Marco Rose about extending his contract.
This was confirmed by managing director Max Eberl at ZDF before the quarter-finals in the DFB Cup between the Saxon titleholders and Borussia Dortmund.
“We want to extend with Marko, that’s clear,” emphasized Eberl. The game against BVB would not change that. Rose only took over the team from his hometown in September last year and led it back into the top flight.
Most recently, however, Leipzig were eliminated in the round of 16 of the Champions League and suffered three competitive defeats in a row before the game in the DFB Cup against Westphalia. Rose’s current contract runs until the end of June 2024.
