Born in Cologne
Gökhan Töre (31) and Adana Demirspor go their separate ways early on. According to the club, the contract of the Cologne-born Turk, which was actually still valid in 2025, was terminated by mutual agreement. After moving to Çukurova last year, the former Besiktas striker, who booked his career high of 15 million euros in Istanbul, only made three short appearances in the Süper Lig.
The former youth player from Leverkusen, Töre, turned professional in 2011 after spending time with Chelsea FC in Hamburg. In 2013, Russia went to Turkey for the first time to Besiktas, from where the 26-time national player was loaned back to London to West Ham and after a one-year stay at Malatyaspor, where he bought himself out of his contract, again for two seasons from 2020 returned to Besiktas. His next attempt away from the “Schwarzen Adler” is now over again after less than a season.
