Joyful news and an Olympic champion in baby happiness: Denise Herrmann-Wick and her husband Thomas Wick have become parents again. This was announced by the former German biathlete on Instagram. After her daughter, the 36-year-old gave birth to a son. “Our little Arvid saw the light of day – healthy, powerful, full of life,” wrote the former athlete and her partner.
The photo of the post shows two small baby feet under a beige blanket with a teddy bear next to it. Arvid was born on August 28th. The couple wrote about the snapshot: “He makes our eyes shine, our hearts beat faster. His big sister shines, cheered, loves – from the first second.”

Daughter Jonna was born in April last year. The family lives together in Ruhpolding, Bavarian. Herrmann-Wick ended her sporting career in 2023 to devote himself to family planning.
Previously, the former cross -country skier had become the most successful German biathlete in recent years. She celebrated the greatest success of her career with the 2022 Olympic victory over 15 kilometers in Beijing. After her resignation, Herrmann-Wick worked as an expert on ZDF last season.
