Preparing for Barrage
After the departure of Xamax trainer Jeff Saibene, his successor has now been determined: it is ex-Bielefeld Uli Forte. The 48-year-old asked on Monday for his contract with Arminen to be terminated.
With the Italo-Swiss, Neuchâtel has hired a proven motivator and a trainer known in Switzerland as a fireman. Before his brief stint in Bielefeld, he was successful with Yverdon in the Challenge League. His greatest successes include two cup wins with FC Zurich and the Grasshoppers as well as two promotions with FC St. Gallen and FCZ.
Xamax is currently twelve points behind the saving 9th place last in the House of Commons and last scored a three-pointer on February 26th. Due to the special fact that there is no direct relegation this season, the team from the Maladière can slowly prepare for a relegation playoff against the best promotion-entitled team from the Promotion League.
