National wrestler Evin Demirhan Yavuz won the gold medal by defeating French Julie Sabatie 3-2 in the women’s freestyle 50 kg final at the Mediterranean Games held in Algeria.
In the organization held in the city of Oran, Yavuz defeated Algerian Ibtissem Doudou 6-0, Italian Emanuela Liuzzi 8-1, Spanish Aintzane Gorria Goni 8-0 in the group matches, respectively, and reached the semi-finals. Evin Demirhan Yavuz advanced to the final by beating Tunisian Sarra Hamdi 6-5 in the semi-finals. The national wrestler defeated the French Julie Sabatie 3-2 in the gold medal match and became the champion.
