Every week four young people persecuted in Heerlen and Brunssum

If a young person has committed a crime, he or she is referred to the Public Prosecution Service via the police. Abuse, vandalism, theft and robbery are the most common. Juveniles who have committed a crime can also be forwarded to Bureau Halt. The teenager is then arrested by the police or a BOA. Bureau Halt is a kind of intermediate station where young people can receive a teaching assignment or community service.
