48-year-old wants to “move the club forward”
Everton FC have unveiled Kevin Thelwell as their new director of football. The 48-year-old has been head of sport at the New York Red Bulls since February 2020. Thelwell will report directly to the board and, among other things, act as strategic manager for all football departments of the club, the “Toffees” said.

I can’t wait to get started,” said Thelwell, who succeeds Marcel Brands, who left the club in December. Before his engagement in New York, Thelwell worked for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
