Former TV presenter Jack Spijkerman sees something in the suggestion of the now 78-year-old Ten Napel. “I’ll just call Van der Sar (general director, ed.)”, jokes Spijkerman, who has been working as a volunteer at the archive of the football club at Ajax in recent years.
“I can do everything and I don’t have to”
Spijkerman (73) “deliberately” stopped his TV work nine years ago. In 2002 he won the golden Televizier ring with the satirical TV program Kopnagels. Now the born IJmuidenaar only does the things he likes. “I thought it was nice. I can do everything and don’t have to do anything.”
