In the latest edition, De Privé features a major interview with Beau van Erven Dorens, in which the presenter says that he wants to quit the television business in about three years. However, last weekend the TV millionaire denied this and even said that he does not remember speaking to the magazine. Very strange.

Evert has just said in his podcast Strictly Private play the audio tape of the interview with Beau and it shows that he did say it. According to him, he is therefore very wrong. “I didn’t know anything at all, I came back from London on Friday evening and my phone was completely full of messages that made me think: what is this about?”
It was about Beau’s accusation. “He simply says bluntly on Instagram: ‘I’m not stopping at all and I haven’t spoken to Private.’ Well, he came back to that during the course of Saturday and then he said: ‘Well, I did speak to them, but at the end of September and what a nice story by the way’, but that doesn’t get rid of it.”

Beau has gone too far, Evert thinks. “Because you’re making a fool of Privé and me and everyone who works here. I wasn’t very happy with it, because it affects your reliability. Then you can say: ‘Let it go’, and a lot of people said that on Instagram, but I think: I just don’t like it.”
He continues: “And especially because I happen to have a photo of an interview that took place and an audio recording of it. I think: well, that’s an excellent opportunity to show how the stars of the Netherlands treat us, because they really haven’t choked on their first lie.”
A week ago
Co-host Jordi Versteegden doesn’t understand Beau. “Then how can you deny it? How could you have forgotten it? Because just to be clear: it’s been a week, hasn’t it, this interview?”
