A light can be lit at the largest dolmen in the Netherlands on Friday, December 22, to commemorate a loved one or an event. Candles are available at the Hunebed Center in Borger to place near the torch-lit dolmen.
“The past few years have been turbulent and full of change, to say the least. At a location that was already a meaningful place about 5,000 years ago, we would like to offer people the space to reflect on the past year and the events that have affected them,” says Hanna Schipper of the Het Drentse Landschap foundation. .
On Friday evening, December 22, between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, everyone can light up at the dolmen in Borger. Parking is available in the large parking lot at the Hunebedcentrum at Hunebedstraat 27 in Borger.
