In addition to the former Federal President Joachim Gauck, who has taken over the patronage of the “Evening for Diversity”, the following guests are expected to attend the panel discussion:
- Deidre Berger / Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Digital Cultural Recovery Project Foundation
- Giovanni di Lorenzo / Editor-in-Chief, DIE ZEIT
- Aminata Toure / Vice-President of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament
- Moderation of the panel discussion: Max Schoen / Chairman, Possehl Foundation Lübeck
The initiators of the event are the three Lübeck universities, the Musikhochschule, the Technische Hochschule and the University of Lübeck. They are all actively committed to a plural and cosmopolitan society, because they are convinced that diversity is the prerequisite for fair and peaceful coexistence and at the same time a characteristic of a powerful and internationally networked community.
The motto of the event on November 9th is “Multiple voices against hate”. The evening will be framed by klezmer music by the group Vagabund and a slam performance by Lars Ruppel.
Unfortunately, registrations are currently no longer possible as the event is already fully booked.
