The fired RBB bosses can’t get enough: the former deputy director Hagen Brandstätter (64) complains of an annual “pension” of 150,000 euros – for life. Now the station supervisors have drastically reduced the boss’s salaries.
According to BZ information, the RBB board of directors decided on Monday: The two new directors may earn a maximum of 200,000 euros per year. The four old ones collected 255-270 thousand (with allowances). All extras are canceled, except for 250 euros “mobility money”. In the event of illness, the salary is only paid for 6 weeks instead of 6 months.
The biggest cut is the reduction in the “pension” after the end of the contract: in future there will only be one monthly salary per year of employment – for a maximum of 15 months. The four former RBB directors received the “pension” until they retired – or for life.
Brandstäter wants to sue on Friday. Labor court spokeswoman Julia Wollgast (54): “He demands 150,540 euros ‘pension’ per year. 60 percent of his last annual gross salary – until the end of his life.” Then there is the state pension!
The public prosecutor is investigating the arsonist for breach of trust. He was released in October. At the beginning of February he was fired without notice. Because he had also received an ARD allowance – without a decision by the board of directors.
Brandstäter also wants to sue for the luxury care for his family: according to the contract, 90,000 euros a year for the widow in the event of death, 30,000 for the orphans, almost 40,000 euros “death benefit” for almost every relative.
The broadcaster had canceled everything with the termination. The court must decide whether it is right.
